How much does it cost to level up Steam?
What decides the price of a Steam level: sets, not levels, and why the same jump can cost differently for two accounts.
Price is per set, not per level
Nobody sells 'a level'. What is actually bought is card sets, and each set turns into a fixed amount of XP once crafted. A level is just where the XP total lands.
That is why the honest way to quote a price is to work out how many sets a target level needs, not to attach a number to the level itself.
Two accounts, two prices
The same jump, say level 30 to level 40, can cost two different accounts two different amounts. An account with unfinished badges sitting around already has some of that XP paid for; a fresh account needs every set from zero.
This is also why a real quote has to read an account's actual badges, not just its current level. Total stock at a bot is not the same thing as sets that account can still use.
Why big jumps cost more per level
The XP needed for the next level rises as level gets higher, so a jump from level 100 to 110 needs more sets than level 10 to 20. Price scales with that curve, not in a straight line.

Sign in, pick a target, and the calculator prices it from live bot stock and your real badge state, charged per set rather than rounded up to whole keys. Nothing is charged until that quote is confirmed.
